Just 5 minutes from the hut is a beautiful natural swimming lake and an outdoor pool and activity centre. There are endless hiking and cycle routes for all abilities, and of course plenty of excursion opportunities to see natural wonders such as gorges and waterfalls. The Hopfgarten gondola also runs in summer to give easy access to local peaks and stunning mountain panoramas.

Hütte Waldzeit is surrounded by forests and mountains. The nearest natural lake is just 5 minutes from the hut, and Tirol's largest lake the Achensee is also easily reachable. The beautiful Hintersteinsee is a must-see in the area too!

In the winter months, the area around Hütte Waldweit transforms into a beautiful winter wonderland. Snow-capped trees and white mountain panoramas offer a breathtaking setting for a winter holiday. Snow-based activities are in abundance for all ages and abilities - hundreds of kilometres of pistes, endless winter walking and ski touring routes, and dozens of cross-country skiing options. Guests can also enjoy sledging or ice-skating in the area, or perhaps go for a horse-drawn sleigh ride in the snow.

The hut is just 5 minutes from the nearest ski gondola, which easily connects you to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental and its 288km of groomed slopes and snow parks. The KitzSki area of Kitzbühel can be easily reached as well.

This guest card offers loads of discounts to local attractions, shops and events in the Holiday Region Hohe Salve and the Kitzbühel Alps. You can also use the Guest Card as a ticket on local buses & trains, which allows you to travel around the area for free on public transport. A bus stop included on these free routes stops a short walk from Hütte Waldzeit and connects to Hopfgarten.
